Brian Holdcroft has been keeping bees for 11 years.
But, for him, the seeds of the wonderful craft were sewn much earlier in his childhood when he visited his Local Museum and Art Gallery where he discovered an observation hive.
The memories of seeing the bee activity in this hive still loom large with him today.
He has a particular interest in the historical relationship that we have with the honey bee and much of his work as an artist references these connections.
