Natural Resilience Lead

Jonathan started beekeeping in the early 1970’s whilst living on an organic agricultural community in the Lower Galilee mountains in Israel, for close to 20 years.
He took up beekeeping again in the UK in 2006 and in 2013 became a NBU Seasonal Bee Inspector for four years.
At present, Jonathan manages around 50 colonies in a number of locations, and he is particularly interested in developing a natural Varroa resilience in his localised, near-native bees, that have now been treatment-free since 2013.
Jonathan is currently chair of the Guildford division of Surrey Beekeepers Association.
