Phil Khorassandjian started his beekeeping in Cameroon around 1996 with a couple of top bar hives and took it up again after a long break on his return to the UK, prompted by a swarm landing on one of his apple trees. He manages nearly 40 colonies (with a lot of help from his wife) on a number of apiaries in Sheffield and the Peak District.
Major interests are education & training – both giving & receiving – and queen breeding. Main ambition is to learn how to keep bees…. properly.
Chair of Sheffield BKA and facilitator of the Sheffield Rivelin Breeding Group. Life away from bees involves architecture, photography, ceramics and a long time on the phone spelling his surname to anyone who has the time.
